“Practice listening deeply to your own intuitive responses.

Trust them.

Allow them to carry you in a direction that unfolds you to yourself.”

~ from All Is Chosen, by Dr. Laura Basha

Having taught spiritual principle for many years to many people of all ages and all walks of life, I have found that no matter what culture a person is from, what age or gender identity a person is, we are all immersed in the inquiry of what it means to be a human being.

We are hard-wired to be conduits for spirituality.

It is wrestling with the constraints of our own thinking, the
identification with our human-ness, which
creates struggle and the myriad guises of suffering.

Here you will find a series of casual and reflective monthly videos, where we consider topics of everyday living, with the intention of freeing ourselves from concern over the inevitable vicissitudes of life experience.

It is my hope that through these reflections we can transmute life’s challenges into possibility and peace of mind.

With Love and Warmest Regards,

Transformational Humor with Special Guest Dr. Laura Basha

Seeds of Wisdom Ep. 25 Transformational Humor with Special Guest Dr. Laura Basha digs deep into why we suffer and how to transform the suffering into thriving. A part of this process is transformational humor and ever since this episode I’ve been becoming more aware of how this all works in such a beautiful way.

Inner vs Outer Purpose

Your outer purpose is the way you express yourself in the world. It lives in the roles you choose, the words you speak, and the contributions you make.

Your inner purpose is deeper. It arises from listening to what you are aligned with, committed to, and quietly called toward. It is the integrity of your life expressing itself from the center outward.

When these two come into alignment, intention gains clarity and power. Growth becomes natural. Action feels meaningful rather than effortful.

This reflection explores how the deeper Self weaves through personality, allowing you to become the person you were meant to be — creative and capable, humble and confident, wise and compassionate.

The Power of Choice

“Without awareness of the ability to choose, and without awareness of the freedom to make any choice in any situation, there is the belief that something or someone outside of the individual is dictating what will be chosen.

Certainly there are circumstances outside of our control or influence, yet there is always the choice of how to be with any circumstance, or what meaning to make of any given moment.”

~ from All Is Chosen, by Laura Basha

Joy to the World

“Joy to the World”

“Practice Being Joy to the World.

We are radiating Centers of Divine Light, Love, and Wisdom.

Mighty to Radiate Good
To All who think of us,
All who speak of us,
And to All whom we contact.”

Be Struck by Beauty

“When you look at another human being and feel great love towards them, or when you contemplate beauty in nature and something within you responds deeply to it, close your eyes for a moment and feel the essence of the love or that beauty within you, inseparable from who you are, your true nature. The outer form is a temporary reflection of who you are in your essence. That is why love and beauty can never leave you, although all outer forms will.”

~ Eckhart Tolle

Loneliness – A Portal to Belonging

“Let your mind wander in simplicity, blend your spirit with the vastness,
follow along with things the way they are, and make no room for personal views –
then for you the world will be mastered.”

To Be A Healer

“The wound is where the Light enters you.”
~
Rumi

We Need More Very Quiet

“All healing transmutation takes place in the Silence. Through the practice of quieting the thinking process, either through meditation or consciously stopping thinking, we can turn our attention away from the cacophony of incessant automatic thinking that passes through, and practice listening to the quietness … Listen for the profundity of the Silence. It has the resonance of vastness.”

Lifting the Burden of Fear

Many of us at this time are healthy and cautiously paying attention to the actual steps we can take to protect ourselves and our communities: social distancing, washing our hands for 20 seconds, elbow tapping instead of a handshake, etc.

Yet what I notice in myself as well as my friends and family, is the insidious rise of anxiety, as we think about and/or speak with each other when the conversation inevitably turns to our concerns.

We can transmute this rise of anxiety into an experience of calm …

California Speaks – Our House Is On Fire

Message from White Eagle, Hopi elder (2020):

This moment can be seen as a portal.
We may fall into fear, or we may use it to look within, care for one another, and reconnect with what is sacred.

Attend to your home, your body, and your spirit. When you care for one, you care for all.

Hold both the social and the spiritual together. Without the spiritual we lose meaning; without the human we lose compassion.

You were prepared for this time. Use your tools.
Create serenity within the storm.

Pray. Establish daily stillness.
And resist despair through art, joy, faith, and love.

What’s Love Got to Do With It?

There is quite a lot of talk about choosing love to be able to navigate these historic times … what do we mean by ‘love’, how do we really choose love in the face of reactivity, fear, and even violence, and why should we even try?”

The Mirror of Perception

“Misperception produces fear and true perception fosters love. …

Everything you perceive is a witness to the thought system you want to be true.

You have no conception of the limits you have placed on your perception, and no idea of the loveliness that you could see. …

Perception is a mirror, not a fact.
And what I look on is my state of mind, reflected outward.”
